What are the benefits to installing
UV-C?
Power Savings, lower maintenance costs, 99.9% Indoor air quality, less odour, the coil in your indoor air-conditioning unit is a reservoir for bacteria, bio-film, germs, viruses and the spread of mould spores, the UV-C kills or inactivates all these microorganisms. UV-C will provide a healthy environment to live, work and play.
Does it kill COVID?
It has been proven that UV-C kills Covid. Other air purifiers in the market use a HEPA filter which only traps bacteria and not eliminate. This device was invented a long time before the Covid outbreak therefore there are no publications or reports on this current virus however there has been testing on microbial viruses which have been proven to be inactivated. A maximum reduction at low speed of 99.995% success rate. Covid Study.
Is UVC dangerous?
UV-C is extremely harmful if you expose yourself to it, we place the Steril-Aire UV-C in HVAC units or fresh air ducts where it is hidden and cannot be of any harm.
Does UV-C produce VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) such as Ozone?
Some brands do produce VOC’s but Steril-Aire does NOT!
I have a child that suffers from AsTHma and respiratory Illnesses, does Steril-Aire UV-C offer any relief?
Yes this will offer significant relief from Dust Mites, Mould, Pollen, Bacteria, Viruses, VOC’s, Odour, Pet Dander and smoke
Is UV-C expensive to operate?
No, the cost to operate is approximately equivalent to one light bulb per UV-C emitter.
Is UV-C expensive to Install?
Pricing ranges depending on the size of air-conditioning unit but starts at $510.00 plus GST and freight.

Yes, we do on a national basis depending on job size, for smaller jobs we can arrange a servicer provider near you to complete the installation, our locality is Auckland.
